Wine kisses
(for "caught being good")

by Dahni

The palette remembers
Though your lips
I have not yet known
But dreams as bouquet
Sweet permeating
Of vintage Libframilch
Yes true mother's milk
Of vintage Beaujolais
Yes true red life
Lips lick at the fragrant dew
The tongue awaiting
A candle flaming - A fire warming
Yes the palette remembers
Come corkscrew open
The taste I have sought
A lifetime for
Crystal glasses we are
Clear - open - revealed - unhidden
Pour into us each
This wine
Rarity seldom ever tasted
Costly - priceless
God and grower
Harvested - fermented - aged
This love tried and true
Toasted we cross arms
Our glasses pour into our lips
Kisses satisfying - Kisses sustaining - Kisses lingering
Lasting
Kisses of wine
Pure white
Pure red
Love was the Ambrosia of the gods
Love is wine
Kisses of wine
