Insipid Spiders and Scorpions of Pernicious Pedigrees

by Dahni

Lack of vigor - character; without flavor - dull
Face to face you sting from beneath - behind.

                        Energy spent
Weaving wistful wisps of wondrous art to wait

or
                             Wait in the sand

both wait to strike
the innocent unawares.

You conceal all to conceal all you conceal
You grow insatiable, but to devour - adapt
                             You make works of art
                             You hypnotize with amazement

We stop and look long enough, just enough
and long enough is just enough for you to strike

caught helpless
stung relentless

No wonder we trust not - discuss not
For the hidden web - the hidden sting

is often religion - politics - spiders and scorpions
