excerpt from:  Deep Waters

by Dahni

Little fawn - Graceful swan - Leaping fish - Twinkling wish
Come here - Come near
To the one I love.
Let her see in soft moon's glow
images to make her smile and think awhile
of all I'd have her know!
Let her rest in peaceful sleep - Slumber embrace her and keep
Til'
Morning's kiss upon her cheeks
with strands of golden rays through her fiery mane
Oh, to be the singing creeks
to wake her softly or gently falling rain
to cleanse her silken skin or fruits of passion for merry heart -
pressed to her lips!
Oh, to be her rainbow or the earth beneath the feet she walks
her shadow - her rocks!
Oh, silver wings, carry me to her heart
her breath is the wind beneath you
touch her with love to never part
embrace with all the true - Words of comfort and cheer
Words, crystal clear and forget the past
reach for the present and feel and be
all the love in me!
Oh, let me be an eyelash which views
and touches near the beautiful blues
of  - My DEEP WATERS!
But -
You can lead a horse to waters,
But you cannot make it drink
You can salt a heart;
Make it thirst,
But you cannot make it think!
You cannot make a heart to love, if it says no
You cannot make a heart to feel, if it must go!
