Origami
(for the tossed, crumpled and stranded paper cups along the highways of life)

by Dahni

I know not what I fully am
Nor fully what I am becoming
I know not what I will be
But I am soft I am paper
Write me
Words of more than I can imagine
Words above expectation
Words of comfort and hope
That springs up out of despair and loneliness
Words that make me better than I am
Words worth reading and remembering
You are pen and I am paper
Love bleaches me white
That all can clearly see
But paper unwritten blows in the breeze
Needing nimble fingers to write of worth
And I am origami
Fold me into heart
Love me into art
For you make me
something better
Than I am
