As rain falls clean clear and cleansing thoughts once joyous turn sorrowed as images not formed, but appear and feel the voices of tears Clouds heavy of sorrow drop their tears Single dove she cries of mourning Droop of willow hangs her head Wolf howls none answers Moon pale in pining Bear bellows her anguish White rabbit injured whining Wind wails her longing Thunder roars her pain Snow grieves in silence Lion of mountain whimpers Screech of hawk, the split of broken heart Waterfall, endless shout of flowing searching Canyon echoes never answered Emptied clouds grow dark of torment Voice of sun grows dim Promise of rainbow unheard Stones cold and barren silent Raven shrill of ear-pierced lament Voice of eagle no more heard Sounds of sorrow cease For none so wounded so loud so long As eyes and face and heart of strong and fearless brave cries long without his woman As rain falls clean clear and cleansing thoughts once joyous turn sorrowed as images not formed, but appear and feel the voices of his tears
