   An Izakaya is a common place in Japan to relax, eat and enjoy the time with family, friends and associates. Entertaining guests and business associates are nearly never done at home, but rather in places like this. Several tables can be moved together to accommodate large numbers of people for all manners of events like engagement parties, birthdays, weddings, showers, anniversaries; etc. Some such places have sinks and fresh towels to wash your hands just inside the entrance. Most have a place or lockers to store your foot wear while you dine. We constantly looked forward to the common practice of hot moist towels. The food and beverages are excellent.
