Freshly picked
(For the Lady V)

by Dahni

So often the simplest is the grandest
Apart the heart does find
Like a breeze as if your whisper
Calling out my name.
Like the sun upon my face as if your smile.
A touch of color and fragrance
Something vibrant and growing
A sound flowing all about
The images of life and living.
How often these stir me
And what within they greater stir.
Something simple as a flower freshly picked
Something grand as memory of you
Sent in an envelope for me!
